My live performances I keep intimate using only dulcimers. No pre-recorded materials. I do use a looping device but all of that work is done on the spot as I play.
My drumming experience is a history of working with local blues artists as well as progressive styles, churches, and a little freelance work. I have played drums over 35 years. Though I have played mountain dulcimers for 25 years, my song writing skills started coming into their own in 2002 with two self produced CD's “Joyful Noise” 2003 and “The Heavens Declare” in 2005.
I am getting ready to create a new CD for 2009 titled “Unveiling Miracles” which will feature more instrumental pieces with mountain dulcimers and other sounds. My goal for the listener is to relax and enjoy the beautiful sound created by these instruments. People always ask questions about dulcimers because of the unusualness of them. I answer a lot of questions during performances plus I like to give a little history of the instruments. The music is nice and I know when the right audience is found I will be busy.
