Here's a shot of the lovely Jaime Bryn. She was kind enough to send me this photo and a couple of images of her art work which will follow this profile. In Jaime we have a 100% Rogue Valley original, an artist raised in beautiful Southern Oregon with a great love for nature and cultures.
Jaime was also kind enough to send me an artist's statement which I am happy to share.
Artist Statement:
I like to say that I am a painter, not an artist. Having been raised in Southern Oregon with a true love of nature, I enjoy painting things as they are because I see beauty in them. Portraits are also a delight for me for the same reasons. My art is primarily done in oils for their richness of color, and I am currently enrolled in Southern Oregon Art Academy to improve my abilities to put to canvas all that inspires me. I also participate annually in Art Along the Rogue' chalk art exhibition for the fun of being around so much inspiration. With my artwork I strive to evoke the spirit of the subject, whatever it may be, and it is my hope that feeling is shared with the viewers.
