Rogue and Poet at this time is accepting three types of submissions. They are:
- Poems
- Event Reports
- Press Releases
Press Releases: These will recieve the most attention in that it's my first priority to post info on upcoming events. A "Press Release" is really anything that promotes an upcoming event. The only rule is that it must promote an artist activity. This site will not promote activities other than those involving artists.
Events Reports: These have a quick shelf life. What I'm really hoping to recieve are simple "Out on the Town" style reports. Just write a blurb about an event or show that you attended, the "positives" please, why you enjoyed it, why it was entertaining, that kind of stuff. Note: While I will try to be the humble servant on this website I must also play the role of Editor. Therefore, I can't promise that everything sent me will be posted.
Poetry: Poetry submissions must be your own original work, please no nice poems that you found on the web, just your own original work. Poetry submissions will probably have the hardest time making it to publication. It's a time and effort issue. I doubt I'll be able to post more than a couple new poems every couple of days. So, if I recieve "20" poems in a week I'll choose the few I feel most comfortable using and those will be published, the rest probably not. I am not in the business of criticizing another's work, so please don't ask me to explain "why" I didn't publish a poem. On my end it is mostly a "time and effort" issue. Also, this is all "free", so never let this become personal. It will never be that on my end.
How to Submit:
It's very simple, E-Mail me. I don't do "text boxes". Also please try to put your work inside the body of the e-mail and not as an attachment. That's just better for me. Lastly, thank you, thank you, thank you, for sending me stuff. I will do my best to use it. I believe that the more I can use "your" work, the better it is for the growth of this site, and that is after all what I'm trying to do.
